about us

Wichman Construction was founded in 1997 by Mike Wichman. Wichman Construction is a commercial general contractor specializing in retail, hotel, banks, offices and assisted living facilities. Wichman Construction’s projects range from 1 million to 17 million.

Mike Wichman graduated from Auburn University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction. Mike began his career as a project engineer and he earned his Florida Class “A” Certified General Contractors license, he founded the Miken Corporation. In 1997, Wichman Construction was formed and has been serving the west coast of Florida ever since.

Wichman Construction averages $25 million in revenue per year. We have been on the “Top 25 Contractors” list as reported by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in both 2005 and 2006. In addition to being among the Top 25 contractors, Wichman Construction was awarded the 2003 Outstanding Masonry Project by the Masonry Contractors Association and in 2007 was recognized in the Tilt Up Achievement Awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

Experience and communication are the keys to Wichman Constructions team success. Our project managers have a combined total of 66 years of experience and our superintendent’s average over 20 years of construction experience in industrial, commercial and retail construction. The well-rounded experience is vital to building a relationship with the owner. Each of the Wichman Construction project members understands that trust is essential in building a satisfying relationship. Our repeat clients represent 60% or our revenue, providing our commitment to building lasting relationships.
